“This innovative website can help you decide whether to incorporate, walk you through the steps of hiring your first employee, teach you how to market your business or answer many of your small business questions.”

ON-LINE BUSINESS ASSISTANCE / VIRTUAL BUSINESS INCUBATOR
CAP developed the Virtual Business Incubator in 1999 to improve rural residents' access to technical assistance for both pre- and post-business starts. www.vbi.biz

VBI was the first of its kind in Wisconsin and unique among other small business sites on the Web because of its partnership with industry experts (Sentry Insurance, Clifton Gunderson LLP, M&I Bank, the law firm of Anderson, O'Brien, Bertz, Skrenes & Golla), state-specific information and no-cost availability.

The site offers understandable, easy to use materials on accounting, banking/finance, insurance, business law, and marketing. Sample documents and templates can be easily downloaded, and links to additional business resources are provided.

VBI sees monthly traffic of 6,000 visitor sessions, 35,000 hits and 14,000 page views.
The majority of the visitors access more than 10 pages at the site per visit.
